Popular singer Samantha Leonard has released her latest single and music video hot on the heels of hit singles such as “’n Duisend Keuses” and “Jou Hart Sal Heel Raak”, which both are still fan favourites dominating radio charts countrywide.
Titled “Vat ’n Kans”, the song tells of the hurt Leonard has experienced in her love life and she said that the song, which he had written, comes from her heart.

“I personally went through a very difficult relationship in which someone really hurt me while I trusted this person with my whole heart. After such an experience you go through so many emotions and often wonder if you will ever find love again. But it is when you least expect it that you will meet someone special who will dry your tears and heal your heart.
“Always remember that although you have been hurt, take the chance – perhaps this will be your soulmate,” she explains.
The single was recorded by Muse Productions and Ryno Mans from RM Productions.
Leonard herself conceptualised and directed the music video. Her idea was to portray her personal experiences, just like her album’s other songs.
“The music video had two sets.
“We started off at the beautiful Allure Beauty & Spa, a jewel in the heart of Benoni, where my friends and I get ready for a night out or before I get on stage.
“We then end up at a private house party where we meet new people and in the end find love again,” she said.
Leonard added that a planned car scene filmed with a drone unfortunately had to be canned after the drone hit a tree, “but everything worked out well in the end”!
