A brother and sister pair from Waterkloof Ridge in Pretoria have reason to smile, as they will be travelling to Orlando, in the US in June to compete at the ARTS International Convention.
Ivan Langeveldt a 13-year-old learner at the Afrikaans Hoër Seunskool and his little sister Lana Langeveldt, a 10-year-old learner at Laerskool Lynnwood are not only exceptionally talented, they are also gifted in all walks of life.

“Both my children are very strong-willed, determined, goodhearted and hardworking,” says mother Megan Langeveldt.
Ivan will compete in the acting and modelling categories and Lana acting, modelling and dancing.
“It’s very exciting that both will be performing in front of international agents, managers and casting directors from well-known studios and distributors like Netflix, Disney and Nickelodeon.”
Ivan will also attend a fully-financed scholarship hosted by The New York Film Academy in Miami, for a four-week film acting training before “joining Lana at the convention.”
Megan says her children loved doing things that kept them grounded.

“Ivan is one for drama class, he also enjoys rugby, wrestling and also indulges in music by playing drums. Lana loves animals and she is very talented in hip-hop dancing. She has travelled to Portugal a few times to compete, and hopes to one day either have a career in modelling or become a veterinarian,” concludes Megan.
