What’s new at the movies?

Nu Metro has new movies this week, you might want to start planning.

Nu Metro makes dreams come to life with the latest and greatest movie magic 365 days a year.

This week is no exception with the release of the new animated adventure for the whole family to enjoy: dream bigger with Wonder Park in 3D at Nu Metro cinemas in Pretoria, telling the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl comes alive. Pay only R39 for tickets to see it at Nu Metro Mams Mall in Mamelodi!

Have you heard the news? Captain Marvel shattered the box office last weekend and shot straight to Number 1 with a blockbuster-opening. The world’s most powerful superhero continues to reign in Nu Metro Menlyn Park’s larger-than-life Xtreme- and multi-sensory 4DX-theatres this week, and in regular 3D at all other cinemas.

If Dwayne Johnson is your man, especially his illustrious career as The Rock in wrestling circles, then book tickets to see Fighting With My Family. This movie is based on the true story of WWE professional wrestler “Paige” – a British girl who followed her dreams and wrestled her way to the top.

This week also sees the release of two new movies from South African soil at Nu Metro: the romantic drama Deep End follows Sunitha, who goes against tradition, clichés and what her family expects from her, to become her own woman; the Afrikaans drama (with English subtitles) Die Stropers follows an adolescent boy who is compelled by his mother to accept a street orphan as his new brother, setting off a torturous family feud.
