Braaifees challenge at Moot disability home
The braaifees challenge was held to raise funds that would benefit the residents.
The Phyllis Robertson home in the Moot hosted the inaugural braaifees challenge on Saturday morning.
Event organiser Jady Hewitt said the braaifees challenge was held to raise funds that would benefit the residents.
The Phyllis Robertson home is a non-profit organisation managed by a committee made up entirely of persons related to residents of the home, Hewitt said.
“We provide a caring environment for adults with disabilities ranging from mental to physical, however, all residents are able to care for themselves independently,” she said.

“This is the home for 64 residents and 43 staff members at present.”
Hewitt said the home was open 24 hours everyday.
“The house matron ensures the residents’ well-being and makes sure all residents are well looked after from the time that they wake up in the morning, through meal times and recreational activities.”
She said the main aim of the organisation was to make a difference in the lives of adults with disabilities.
We are providing our residents with the best possible care and facilities, Hewitt said.
