Nu Metro cinemas in Pretoria up the ante with another prime selection of new releases at their cinemas nationwide this week.

The Meg is sitting at the top of the box office, after it started showing at Nu Metro’s Menlyn’s Xtreme- and 4DX-cinemas last week; and, Stroomop (Afrikaans, with English subtitles) broke local records after its early release at Nu Metro cinemas over the Women’s Day long weekend.

The excitement doesn’t stop there…Nu Metro cinemas in Pretoria up the ante with another prime selection of new releases at their cinemas nationwide this week.

THE SPY WHO DUMPED ME (16 LNV)

They may have minimum experience, but the two ladies (Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon) in this action-filled comedy-adventure are going for maximum damage.

Audrey and Morgan, two 30-year-old best friends in Los Angeles, are thrust unexpectedly into an international conspiracy when Audrey’s ex-boyfriend shows up at their apartment with a team of deadly assassins on his trail.

The two jump into action. On the run throughout Europe from assassins and a suspicious-but-charming British agent, they hatch a plan to save the world.

Experience this new horror movie starring the iconic Uma Thurman in Nu Metro Menlyn’s luxurious VIP cinemas. Kit (AnnaSophia Robb), a difficult young girl, is sent to the mysterious Blackwood Boarding School when her heated temper becomes too much for her mother to handle.

Once she arrives at Blackwood, Kit encounters eccentric headmistress Madame Duret (Uma Thurman) and meets the school’s only other students, four young women also headed down a troubled path.

While exploring the labyrinthine corridors of the school, Kit and her classmates discover that Blackwood Manor hides an age-old secret rooted in the paranormal.

FAREWELL ELLA BELLA (13 DL)

This new local film starring Jay Anstey and Sello Maake Kancube is a coming-of-age tale about Ella and Neo; and the twists and turns of the long, open freeways from the Western Cape through the Northern Cape (Kimberley) and up to Gauteng.

Their road trip enables them to find strength in each other, maturity within themselves and wisdom in the characters they meet along the way. For Ella (24), the death of her alcoholic father leaves her with nothing but debt and the bitter memory of a complicated past, the re-emergence

of her nomadic godfather, Neo (46), at her father’s cremation, gives Ella the opportunity to discover a better future for herself in Johannesburg.
