VIDEO: Local music producer’s star is on the rise

Beatmochini cemented his place in the music industry with a song currently receiving play on TV.

Beatmochini promises that his much-anticipated debut single, Hixona Lexo, will move Pretorians.

Hixona Lexo, pronounced ‘Hishona Lesho’ in Xitsonga will be released on all digital platforms at the end of this month.

The hit by the Atteridgeville-born beatmaker will be included in his debut album, I’m Also Human.

Beatmochini says he taught himself to play the musical instruments.

Hixona Lexo showcases the talents of emcees Jimmy Wiz and Huge da Oracle, both also presenters of VUZU’s TV show, The Hustle).

“Their effortless flows complement this kwaito infused hip-hop sound with the heavy bass, distinctive keys and catchy hook that are immediately recognisable as a signature,” he says.

The album is produced by Beatmochini Productions, the record company Beatmochini founded in 2012 and already had hits Mahambayedwa/Motsipe and Money to its credit.

Described as a veteran hip-hop producer, Beatmochini has also produced Motswako rapper Khuli Chana’s Never Grow Up and the smash hit, Buwa, a collaboration with SA’s biggest rap and hip-hop artists Kwesta, Morale and Lection.

He’s also worked alongside the local hip-hop elite like Reason, Sean Pages, Mr. Maliq, Boy Wonder, Flex Boogie, and Ill Skillz.

His compilation, Men vs Machine, featured on the 2015 December issue of SA hip-hop magazine HYPE.

But Beatmochini cemented his place in the music industry with Onketsetsang currently receiving play on TV, and features Skillo, Khuli Chana and BizzATV.
