Somizi, Black Coffee to invade PTA this weekend

The famous deejay and producer recently won the Best Deep House DJ trophy at the 2017 DJ Awards in Ibiza.

Moloko Pretoria will host entertainer Somizi Mhlongo as he celebrates his birthday.

The theme for the flamboyant radio DJ, singer and choreographer’s celebration is Naughty Naughty, said the club.

Somizi who is known as Somgaga started his entertainment career at 13 years of age in the hit Broadway musical “Sarafina”.

“This is where I travelled the world for five years with the production and choreographed my first big project in the movie. I then went on to choreograph Miss South Africa in 1998 until 2008,” he said.

Somizi went on to music a career, releasing two albums followi in the footsteps of his aunt virtuoso Busi Mhlongo.

He won a Metro FM Award and a Channel O Music Video Award.

Currently, Somizi is a judge alongside fellow singer and radio deejay Unathi on Idols SA.

Black Coffee, who is a mix master, has spent four months on the vibey Mediterranean isle after landing a residency at HI Club.

He has played his sets at SA’s biggest music festivals and collaborates with different artists, both locally and abroad.
