Arno Carstens rocks Atterbury theater

The classical ballad Blue Eyes had the crowd on its feet.

Arno Carstens rocked Atterbury theatre on Friday night during his Die Aandblom 13 tour.

His album of the same name recently won an SA Music Award (Sama) for best engineered album of the year.

Hundreds of people turned up to watch the explosive show, in which Carstens performed his English and Afrikaans hits.

Pretorians were given a treat as the singer and his band played an unforgettable masterpiece set.

Songs like Die Aanblom, Whole Heart and Another Universe received a loud response.

The latter was played as an encore.

Carstens has had over 20 top 10 singles and has won five Samas, including best rock album for Another Universe in 2004 and best adult contemporary album for The Hello Goodbye Boys in 2006.

The 45-year-old is also the lead singer of the band, Springbok Nude Girls.
