COMPETITION: Homemakers Expo 2016 heading to Pretoria

Just in time for summer the Pretoria Homemakers Expo is heading to the capital city. For the latest trends, beautiful interiors, breath-taking gardens, handmade gifts and irresistible kitchens all under one roof, head on over to the Parkview Shopping Centre between 6 and 9 October.

What’s more, is this year Jacaranda FM’s morning and drive show presenters, Rian van Heerden and Martin Bester will combat in the Battle of the Bars. The battle, hosted in collaboration with Chamberlains, will see the presenters get their hands dirty as they’re challenged to build two functional bars before the show doors open. Guests will also get the chance to check out their bars and meet and greet Bester and van Heerden during selected hours at the show. No matter your taste or style, the show will most definitely have something for everyone.

And while you are there, make sure to grab a bite at Gourmet Garage, one of the vibiest underground eateries in town, serving the best coffee, craft beer, artisanal easy-to-eat foods and treats.

Love for the outdoors is second nature to every South African. Take It Outside is a budding new addition to the show, which embraces this love for the outdoors, an area where rough and rugged meets style and luxury – a remarkable collection of unique outdoor lifestyle products. Hosted in collaboration with Glacial Flooring.

A brand new addition to the show to look out for is the Live by Design curated area where shoppers will be able to indulge in a hand-picked collection of handmade gifts, creative crafts, handbags and jewellery.

The show is open daily from 10:00 until 19:00 (weekdays) and 09:00 to 18:00 over the weekend. Tickets sell for R50 per adult, R30 for pensioners and children under the age of 12 can enter for free.
