Heavenly music in a magical setting

Music, food and wine lovers can expect an afternoon of perfection on Sunday, 3 July when the full Pretoria Symphony Orchestra will make the beautiful gardens of Leriba Hotel its stage.

Imagine a perfect Pretoria winter afternoon in a five-star natural setting, fine wines and scrumptious food and the air filled with magical light popular classical music.

This is exactly what visitors to Leriba Hotel and Spa can expect on Sunday, 3 July when the indigenous gardens of the award-winning venue will be the stage for the full Pretoria Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the well-known Schalk J. van der Merwe.

The audience can expect to hear more recent works such as extracts from Les Miserables while they will also travel back in time to explore music made popular two centuries ago by Mozart and other musical geniuses.

Joining the Pretoria Symphony Orchestra on stage will be German-based baritone, Christiaan Snyman and four prestigious voices from the Sempre Opera – Deirdre

Blignaut-Rautenbach (soprano), Linette van der Merwe (mezzo Soprano), Chris Mostert (tenor), and Danie Verster (baritone).

Carefully selected wine farms will be offering free wine tasting on the day and guests will have the opportunity to buy wine at cellar prices.

Leriba Hotel and Spa’s award-winning restaurants, Hemingway’s and Chapters, will be open for guests to enjoy a scrumptious meal before or after the performance. The restaurants will be open from 11:00 to 22:00.

Sunday’s event promises to be an exquisite, yet relaxing and elegant experience for food, wine and music connoisseurs and should not be missed.
