Five hairstyles for summer

Take a look at these top five hairstyles for summer.

Summer is here and it’s time to get your beach style ready. Consider these top five hairstyles for summer this December.

1. The fishtail side braid

To make a fishtail braid, be sure to use strands of hair that aren’t freshly washed, it works best for a style like this. Consider looking at products at your nearest hairdresser that will add extra bulk and thickness to your hair, to pull this style off successfully.

2. A chunky top bun

A big chunky bun at the top of your head can work for both day and night. Be sure to use big bobby pins, they are much tighter. Pull a few loose hairs from your bun to create an edgy, rough look when going out.

Round off your look with some hairspray to keep things in place.

3. A falling down up do

This style is perfect for any formal event like a wedding. Use your curling iron or straightener to create twists and waves in the front parts of your hair. Take your hair up in a low up-do, with the waves of hair coming down on the sides.

4. A fashionable ponytail

For a tight, high ponytail to work, consider the natural line of your cheekbones to get the right height for your pony. When in doubt, go higher.

This summer hairdo is very easy to pull off, it looks clean, and is perfect for South African sunny days. You’ll look refreshed without any strands of hair in your face.

5. Beach waves

If one of the many unlucky ones who suffer from frizz, you’re not alone.

With frizzy hear, be sure to treat your hair after washing with a trusty anti frizz hair product. Afterwards, towel dry your hair, or take a few minutes to stand in the sun while your hair dries naturally.

These techniques of drying are sure to give you the waves you want, but if you struggle with dimension, use your curling iron to create the look you want.
