Do your make-up in two minutes

If you're a woman with a lot on her plate, consider these tips when applying make-up in the morning.

If you are anything like approximately 80% of women around the world, you dread getting up in the early morning, only to take around one hour (if not more) to get ready for work.

With busy schedules, kids in the house, pets to look after and a handful of chores to do around the house, you may not have the luxury of selecting what eye shadow fits which skirt.

But fear not, busy ladies of Pretoria, we have got a solution for you.

Try these easy-to-learn steps on how to do your make-up in under two minutes and still look like a million dollars.

Here is what you will need:

1. Moisturiser

2. A lash curler

3. Concealer

4. Mascara

5. Blusher

6. An eye brow pencil

7. A fun lipstick or lip gloss

Step 1: You may not think your face needs a moisturiser every day, but believe us when we say, it is essential.

A moisturiser nourishes your skin and prepares it for the harsh environment of your everyday life.

Step 2: Curl your lashes. If you have to do your make-up in under two minutes, you might as well open up your eyes, make your face look bright and awake, and make people believe you sleep 12 hours a night.

Step 3: Usually, we would recommend foundation to hide those dark spots, but since this is a two minute make-up session, you will only have time for concealer. So, conceal away and be sure to cover up those dark circles around your eyes.

If you are like most women living in sunny South Africa, you will probably need to conceal a few blemishes and sun spots, but be careful not to cover up too much of your natural red cheeks.

Step 4: Since we are skipping the finer detail like eye-liner and eye-shadow, mascara might just become your new best friend.

Like a lash-curler, mascara can do wonders for your eyes by opening your face and making you look all fresh-faced.

Step 5: Blush brings colour, liveliness, and vibrance to the skin, but be careful not to go all out on a day look.

Applying some blush can make you look healthy, full of life and happy, so do not be shy with those brushes.

Step 6: Brows are very trendy right now. Be sure to brush your brows in an upward direction to make it look full and neat.

If you like, you can use some eyebrow gel or an eyebrow pencil to make your brows look darker and healthier.

Step 7: Colour on the lips makes the whole face pop. Do not leave the house without at least a lovely, soft nude on your lips that will only compliment the rest of your makeup.

Voila, you are ready to go out, looking fresh, young and like you spent an hour in front of the mirror. Enjoy!
