African flair crowned

The Out of Africa Over All queens were crowned recently.

The Atterbury theatre was the place to be last week as the new Out of Africa Over All queens were crowned.

Karen Schwendtke, owner and director of the pageant said: “The vision is to resemble our African flair through passion, empowerment and to be the change YOU want to see in the world.”

The idea was not to choose the most beautiful woman, said Schwendtk.

“She needs to have the full package. Out of Africa Pageants support two charity platforms; CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa) and Rhino SA.”

The women taking part were described as ladies embracing their culture, self-worth, health and upliftment of the community.

“It was evident when these beautiful ladies walked on the African decorated stage by well-known African Sculpturer Arend Eloff,” said Schwendtke.

“It is wonderful to know that in our current economical circumstances, these are ladies embracing their power from beauty within and making a difference.”
