Olievenhoutbosch police officers celebrate Heritage month

Olievenhoutbosch police celebrate Heritage day by cooking African meals.

Police officers from the Olievenhoutbosch police station celebrated Heritage month in true African fashion on Wednesday.

Captain Malefo Makena said police officers came dressed in colourful African attire.

“Police officers all came dressed in their different native clothing, representing their different cultures,” he said.

He said the different cultures were celebrated in respect, pride and integrity as they also cooked cultural food.

“Pap, masonga, ting (sourpap), soup and jolof rice were the dishes for the day,” said Malefo.
