Lion dance unites staff against cancer

Netcare Unitas Hospital had a flashmob for cancer awareness.

Staff at Netcare Unitas hospital performed a lion dance flash mob on Tuesday, to do their bit in creating awareness about cancer-related illnesses.

Marketing manager Estie Powers said they were celebrating international month of childhood cancer awareness.

“Since it was the international month for childhood cancer, the women nurses are wearing gold gloves, symbolising their support for creating even more awareness about cancer.”

She said the cancer lion dance was performed to create awareness about cancer illnesses, especially among young children.

“We are fighting the battle with our brave soldiers in creating more awareness about cancer,” said Powers
