The Carousel is proud to present the acclaimed cabaret and music show, Goldin Divas, at The Cheyenne Saloon on the 29 and 30 of May 2015.
Goldin Divas is an explosive mini extravaganza that pays tribute to the music of famous women throughout the ages, from the 1920s to today’s top hit makers.
Music lovers can expect to hear timeless cabaret classics by the likes of Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand, Marilyn Monroe, and Shirley Bassey.
There are also hits from the movies by artists such as Gloria Gaynor, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, and Janis Joplin (The Rose), and songs from now, by hitmakers like Adele, Tina Turner, P!nk, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Carly-Rae Jepsen, Rihanna, Sia, and Shakira.
Country songs from Shania Twain and Miley Cyrus are thrown in for good measure.
“It’s fun, it’s mischievous, it’s heartbreakingly nostalgic, it’s sultry, it’s sexy, and above all else it’s fantastic entertainment that will have guests tapping their feet and swinging and swaying along,” says Rosa Naudé-Potgieter, PR & Promotions Manager at The Carousel.
The Goldin Divas is headed-up by songstress, Lisa Goldin. She is joined on stage by sizzling dancers and back-up vocalists. Touring internationally for the last 15 years, Lisa Goldin has performed in the UK alongside Jessie J, Ed Sheeran and Scouting For Girls.
She has also travelled to Ibiza where she worked with top dance artist, Barbara Tucker. Now back in South Africa, she has signed to David Gresham Records and is working on her second album.
Catch her in Goldin Divas at the end of the month. Tickets cost R50 per person and can be purchased through Computicket or at the door before the show.
