American producer and singer Pharrell Williams is coming to South Africa to collaborate with retail store Woolworths in September.

The multi award-winning musician/producer announced the news on his Twitter account on Thursday where he said, “Proud to collab with retailer @Woolworths_SA. Are you with us, South Africa? See you in September! #PharrellWithWoolies.” Woolworths also confirmed the news on their Twitter account.

The tweet was met with positive response, and was retweeted over 2 000 times in less than 24 hours. At this stage, the details are complicated with regard to what exactly Williams and Woolworths’ partnership is all about.

Independent Media, though, said the ‘Happy’ hit-maker will be the new Woolworths style director.

Williams is widely known for his smash single Happy (2014), which has become one of the bestselling singles of all time.
