Tiisetso Masango crowned Miss Teen Mamelodi
Tiiestso Masango from Mamelodi East is the new Miss Teen Mamelodi 2015.
Mamelodi West community hall was the place to be as all the beautiful teenagers from Mamelodi and Nellmapius contested for the 2015 Miss Teen Mamelodi recently.
Tiisetso Masango (17) from Mamelodi East came out tops to beat the line-up and was crowned 2015 Miss Teen Mamelodi. Basetsana Ntlailane (15) was 1st princess and Ofentse Malete (17) 2nd princess.
A total of 17 contestants took part in the event, aged between 14 and 18. Face of Mamelodi Production organised the event.
“This is the first Miss Teen Mamelodi and we are planning to do it annually. The purpose of the event is to prepare contestants for the modelling world, boost their personal skills, build their confidence and have self-respect,” Heriatte Gwazube from Face of Mamelodi said.
Proceedings started at 18:00 with local clothing designers having the opportunity to showcase their designs and artists entertaining the crowd with their music.
“The event was so successful and we would like to thank the residents of Mamelodi for their support. We are planning to have an even bigger event next year,” said Gwazube.
