Jazz enthusiasts to showcase their dance moves
Jazz sessions will take place in Nellmapius and Mamelodi this weekend.
Chairperson of Togetherness Jazz Time, Bizza Buthelezi, and Referendum and Diarora jazz clubs invite enthusiasts to two jazz sessions in Nellmapius and Mamelodi this weekend.
The events are scheduled to take place at Nellmapius Mayoyo’s Place on Saturday and at Happy Hour Pub and Grill in Mamelodi on Sunday.
Percy Sithole and Buthelezi will host the Nellmapius Mayoyo’s Place event and the Happy Hour Pub and Grill occasion respectively.
Jazz fans will be able to enjoy among others African and classic jazz. As usual, the music will provide jazz enthusiasts with opportunities to showcase their dance moves and tricks.
Buthelezi said the events would not only be about dancing and drinking, but also provide perfect opportunities to encourage people to drink responsibly and share information needed to fight against women and children abuse.
“People die almost daily on our roads and women and children are abused by some people who drink irresponsibly. We must not allow alcohol to change our moral values and who we are.”
Prizes can be won for best dressed people. People are encouraged dress neat and presentable.
Only 19-year-olds and above would be allowed to attend.
