Entertainment mourns the death of funny man Robin Williams

The entertainment industry are still coming to terms with the death of actor-comedian Robin Williams.

Co-stars and fellow celebs mourn the shocking death of actor comedian Robin Williams at the age of 63.

Tweets, statements and reports of condolences and tributes about the famous funny man dominated the news on Tuesday morning.

“He was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien – but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit. He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most – from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets,” said President Barack Obama in a statement issued by the White House.

According to reports, the dead actor’s devastated wife, Susan Schneider, said: “This morning (Monday), I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”

Co-star Scott Weinger, who played Aladdin with Robin, said: “Farewell to my childhood hero and Genie. The world won’t be the same without him.”

TV host and actress Ellen DeGeneres said she cannot believe the news about Robin Williams. “He gave so much to so many people. I’m heartbroken,” DeGeneres said on her Twitter account.

Oscar-winning Williams is known for his roles in Mrs Doubtfire, Good Morning Vietnam, Night at the Museum, Patch Adams, Peter Pan and Dead Poets Society.
