Jeep Gladiator wins Bakkie of the Year Award
The Jeep Gladiator has been crowned Specialist Bakkie of the Year (BOTY) for 2024.
The recent NAMPO show in Bredasdorp was used to announce the Jeep Gladiator as the Bakkie of the Year.
The Gladiator beats eight other competitors. The BOTY jury agreed that its rugged utility, uncompromising 4×4 capabilities and off-road prowess make it the worthy winner.
“It’s an honour to be recognised for what we designed the Jeep Gladiator to be: the most capable off-road bakkie,” said Jeep brand head, Janus Janse van Rensburg.
The Gladiator’s victory builds on Jeep’s rich heritage of tough, dependable trucks. Its unique design and versatility make it perfect for both passengers and cargo.
The Bakkie of the Year competition, now in its second year, evaluates double-cab 4×4 bakkies launched in South Africa between September 2023 and August 2024. The rigorous testing process assesses on- and off-road performance, towing and loading capabilities.
