Exclusive Audi RS 6 Avant GT up for auction in South Africa

Audi South Africa is offering a rare opportunity to own a piece of automotive history with the auction of a single, limited-edition Audi RS 6 Avant GT in November.

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT high-performance wagon is the final internal combustion RS 6 model to be released by Audi and offers unique design elements and exceptional performance.

One of a kind

Only 660 units of the RS 6 Avant GT will be produced worldwide, and South Africa is fortunate to have secured one (unit number 74). This exclusive vehicle will attract significant interest from collectors and Audi enthusiasts. The auction will be held in Cape Town on November 7th, with proceeds benefiting a worthy charity (details to be announced).

Inspired design and performance

The RS 6 Avant GT pays homage to the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO race car. It features an aggressive exterior with a distinctive spoiler, diffuser, and 22-inch wheels. The interior is equally impressive, featuring bucket seats, a heritage-inspired colour scheme, and the car’s unique production number displayed on the centre console.

For a thrilling driving experience, the RS 6 Avant GT boasts a twin-turbocharged V8 engine delivering 463kW and 850Nm of torque. This translates to a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 305km/h (optional).

South African Special Edition

The South African RS 6 Avant GT will be finished in striking Arkona White paint accented with traditional Audi Sport colours – black, grey, and red. It will also include several desirable optional extras, such as:

· RS ceramic brakes with red callipers

· RS Dynamic package plus for a raised top speed

· Bang & Olufsen sound system

· Head-up display

· RS bucket seats

Crafted with precision

While the standard RS 6 Avant is produced on the Neckarsulm assembly line, the GT receives special treatment. After initial construction and painting, the 660 GT models are sent to the Böllinger Höfe facility, known for building high-performance Audis like the R8. Here, seven experienced technicians meticulously hand-assemble each GT over a full day, ensuring exceptional quality and attention to detail.
