Woman murdered in Durban North home

Police are investigating the murder of a 45-year-old woman who was found dead in her home.

Greenwood Park Police are investigating a case of murder after finding the body of a 45-year-old woman in her Glen Anil, Durban North, home yesterday.

Provincial SAPS spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda says the motive behind the murder on Poinsettia Road is unknown.

According to reports, the woman was stabbed several times in the head.

No arrests have been made.

The deputy chairperson of the Glen An-Hills Neighbourhood Watch, Avi Pillay, says the neighbourhood watch is aware of the tragic incident.

“We offer our condolences to the family of the deceased. In light of this tragedy, we are appealing to residents to be extremely vigilant, especially when it comes to noises or disturbances on their property.

“We also encourage them to report any suspicious activity to the Glen An-Hills Neighbourhood Watch Crime Info Group on WhatsApp,” he says.
