Watch: South Africans react to the Boks beating the French
The Springboks’ win is the perfect start to the new week, as citizens take to social media to celebrate the world cup triumph.
After the men in green and gold’s victory over the French last night, they say the only ‘Frans’ (the Afrikaans name for the language spoken in France) left in the 2023 Rugby World Cup is South African prop Frans Malherbe.
The Boks came out on top in an intense quarter-final clash at the Stade de France, clinching a 29-28 victory.
In typical South African fashion, social media has been a hive of Bok-related activity, with memes and videos since referee Ben O’Keeffe blew the final whistle just before 23:00.
