Suspect posing as delivery driver shoots woman in Umkomaas

A Craigieburn woman is critically injured after sustaining two gunshots wounds to the head during a home invasion.

A 26-year-old woman from Craigieburn, Umkomaas, is in critical condition after being shot during a home invasion.

According to South Coast Herald, the incident occurred yesterday. Reports indicate the suspect gained entry to the woman’s home after posing as a delivery driver.

As per IPSS Medical Rescue, paramedics stabilised the woman on scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital, where she remained under the care of an advanced life support paramedic.

Extent of injuries

The woman sustained two gunshot wounds to her head and one to her abdomen.

SAPS was approached for comment, but none was received at the time of publishing.
