Roodepoort mom pleads not guilty to son’s murder

Accused of murdering her 11-year-old son, Tiffany Nicole Meek will remain in custody until her trial resumes in April.

Murder-accused Tiffany Nicole Meek has pleaded not guilty to the killing of her son, Jayden-Lee Meek, reports the Roodepoort Record.

Meek appeared in the Johannesburg High Court sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on today.

She is accused of murdering her son after initially reporting him missing in May.

The child’s body was discovered the following morning near a stairway in the complex where they lived.

The 31-year-old was arrested in July and faces multiple charges, including murder, crimen injuria, defeating the ends of justice, attempting to obstruct justice, and child abuse and neglect.

The matter has been postponed to April 22 for the continuation of the trial.

Meek remains in custody.
