Police arrest Robert Mugabe’s son over shooting in upmarket Johannesburg suburb
Gunfire erupted in Hyde Park today, leaving a young gardener injured and police making a high-profile arrest.
An arrest has been made in connection with a Hyde Park shooting that left a 23-year-old gardener wounded.
Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe, son of former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe, has been arrested, following an alleged altercation that escalated into gunfire, leaving a gardener wounded, reports the Rosebank Killarney Gazette.
Police confirmed that the arrest follows a shooting during which the gardener was shot and injured. The victim was rushed to hospital for urgent medical treatment. His condition has not yet been confirmed.
Law enforcement officers have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, as they work to establish what led to the violent incident.
