Phala Phala court case postponed

The extradition of two Namibian nationals are still pending in the case related to a robbery at President Cyril Ramaphosa's farm.

Imanuwela David and siblings, Froliana and David Joseph, appeared in the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court today.

The case relates to the theft of around US$580 000 (around R10m) stolen from President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm.

They were arrested in 2023 and face charges of break-in, theft, and money laundering. The Joseph siblings were released on bail in November 2023.

Imanuwela will remain in custody after his bail was denied in December 2023.

Police investigations are ongoing as they are waiting for the extradition of two Namibian nationals in connection with the case.
