Man wanted for rape and robbery at Brighton Beach woman’s home

Brighton Beach police are searching for a man who raped a woman in her home and fled with her phone and cash.

Police in Brighton Beach, south of Durban, have launched a manhunt for a man who raped a 55-year-old woman at her home recently.

According to Southlands Sun, police said the victim was at home when an unknown man walked in and demanded cash.

After gaining entry, the suspect raped the woman, stole her cellphone and an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled the scene.

Police spokesperson for eThekwini District Captain Carmen Rhynes confirms that police are investigating a case of rape.

The police appeals to anyone with information to contact the Brighton Beach Police Station on 031 451 8072. Alternatively, you can call the crime stop number: 08600 10111.
