Man critically injured after falling from 2nd floor at The Bluff shopping centre

Police are working with a shopping centre’s management to investigate what led to a man’s fall from the second floor.

A man believed to be in his 20s is in a critical condition after falling from the second floor of a shopping centre on The Bluff in KZN yesterday morning.

Southlands Sun reports that Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, says emergency teams were dispatched just after 10:30 when they received multiple calls about a man who plunged from the second level to the ground level.

“The man had sustained major injuries, and ALS Paramedics worked to stabilise him on scene before he was rushed to a nearby hospital for the urgent care that he required,” says Jamieson.

He adds that the circumstances leading to the fall are unclear.

The SAPS are working with the centre’s management team to investigate the incident.
