Hall of Fame induction dinner and golf day celebrate SA sporting spirit

Surround yourself with the glory of green and gold when the extraordinary achievements of South African sporting greats are honoured.

Olympian medallists, including swimmers Penny Heyns and Ryk Neethling and long-distance runner Josia Thugwane, will be inducted into the South African Hall of Fame at a dinner to be held at the Montecasino Ballroom in Johannesburg at 18:00 on August 29.

“Sports fans can witness this historic event and have a chance to rub shoulders with the inductees,” says Irma Green, Caxton Local Media’s group editor. “We are proud to be a media partner for an event that celebrates success and inspires future generations.”

The induction dinner will be followed by the ninth annual South African Hall of Fame golf day on August 30. Book a fourball and join the likes of Neethling, tennis great Pietie Norval and other sports icons at the Silver Lakes Golf & Wildlife Estate.

Both events are hosted in collaboration with Tsogo Sun.
