Gauteng Province reports 948 recoveries from Covid-19
A total of 72 people have been hospitalised in the province in both public and private facilities

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng as of yesterday, 29 April, stands at 1 408 with 948 recoveries and 11 deaths.
Out of a total of 8 353 contacts traced, 5 803 people have completed the 14-day monitoring period with no symptoms reported and they have now been de-isolated.
A total number of 72 people have been hospitalised in the province in both public and private facilities.
The provincial breakdown is as follows:
- Johannesburg – 828 cases with 591 recoveries
- Ekurhuleni – 318 cases with 225 recoveries
- Tshwane – 149 cases with 96 recoveries
- Sedibeng – 16 cases with 5 recoveries
- West Rand – 43 cases with 31 recoveries
- Unallocated cases within the province – 54
