Former uMkhonto weSizwe Party leader silent on sacking

Jabulani Khumalo registered the party with the IEC in September, but was over the weekend expelled along four other high-profile members.

The founder of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK Party) Jabulani Khumalo, who was unceremoniously given the boot by his party over the weekend, is yet to comment on his dramatic rise and fall.

Khumalo, who registered the MK Party with the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) in September, was expelled by the party over the weekend alongside four other high-profile members of the organisation.

MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndlela did not provide reasons for the expulsions but stated that the leadership’s decision was in the best interest of the newly-formed organisation.
