Father, 2 young children found dead at Tongaat home
A man was found hanging in a room of a house in Shastri Circle, while the bodies of two girls were discovered in a bedroom.
A man and two children aged four and seven have been found dead at a home in Shastri Circle, Tongaat, KZN.
Spokesperson for Reaction Unit South Africa Prem Balram said they received a call for assistance just before 14:00. Reaction officers were immediately dispatched to the property, reports The Witness.
“Upon arrival, members of the South African Police Service and other private emergency services were already on scene.”
Balram said it was established that the body of the man was located hanging inside the residence.
“During further assessment of the property, two female children aged four and seven were found deceased in a bedroom.”
Balram said that the circumstances leading up to the children’s deaths are subject to investigation.
