Durban man attacked by 5 dogs

The man was left with several bite wounds all over his body.

A man who resides in Yellowwood Park, Durban is said to be in a critical condition after he was attacked by five dogs at home on Wrenway Road at about 01:00 this morning (January 11).

Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, said that paramedics were called in quickly after the attack.

“Upon arrival, the paramedics discovered that the victim had been attacked by five dogs in his garden. The man had bite wounds all over his body and was in a critical condition,” said Jamieson.

The paramedics involved attempted to stabilise the patient at the scene before they rushed him to a nearby hospital for further care. The circumstances leading up to the incident have not been established, as the victim lives on the premises.

The SAPS were in attendance and will investigate the matter.
