Couple die after Glenashley shooting

Investigations continue after a couple who were initially critically injured in a Durban North shooting have died.

A couple critically injured in a shooting on Minerva Avenue in Glenashley, Durban North, yesterday afternoon have died.

Northglen News reports that Marshall Security and Durban North SAPS responded to the scene at about 15:00, where the two victims were found with gunshot wounds. Netcare911 paramedics treated the patients on scene before transporting them to hospital in critical condition.

Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell confirms that both victims died overnight.

“It is believed that the incident may be domestic-related, however, the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation,” Powell adds.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, which was cordoned off for further investigation by police.
