Bystander shot twice during KZN cash-in-transit robbery
Stray bullets struck numerous cars when cash-in-transit robbers fled a robbery scene.
A bystander was shot twice in the abdomen and critically injured during a cash-in-transit heist in New Germany, KZN, last night.
Highway Mail reports that the incident occurred on Shepstone Road, near Otto Volek Road.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson reported that several cars were hit by stray bullets as the suspects fled the scene.
“Two guards and another member of the public sustained minor injuries,” he says.
The road was closed last night as authorities investigated the scene.
