Body of missing Tshwane resident found

Travis Stevens’ partner Catherine Bester thanked the community for their support and assistance over the past two weeks.

The body of missing Travis Stevens (38), from Rooihuiskraal in Tshwane, was found on Tuesday.

Stevens was reported missing on March 13, after he disappeared from his home.

A community-wide search was conducted.

Tshwane SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan Van Dyk confirmed that police found a body in a secluded area.

The Pink Ladies organisation for missing persons confirmed that it was Stevens’ body.

Stevens leaves behind his partner of 12 years, Catherine Bester, and his three children.

Bester says Stevens had a deep love for his children, describing him as a dedicated father.

“His children were his life.

“We as a family appreciate everything that everybody in our community has done, especially the CPF,” she adds.

Bester requested that the family’s privacy be respected during this difficult time.
