Cheers to summer with the perfectly pink Rosé Spritzer
Rosé spritzers are light, making them ideal for warm weather or when you want to enjoy wine without the heaviness of a full glass.
Rosé is perfect for a spritzer. Its light, fruity, and floral flavours make it an ideal base. It works well with almost anything you want to mix it with, whether that’s a splash of citrus, a few fresh berries, or even a sprig of mint. Plus, the pretty pink colour alone makes it a crowd-pleaser. For the best results, opt for a dry or semi-dry rosé. The slight acidity balances perfectly with the sweetness of sparkling water, keeping the spritzer crisp and refreshing without becoming overly sugary.
Ingredients
- 150 ml chilled rosé wine
- 75 ml sparkling water or soda water
- 15 ml elderflower liqueur
- Ice cubes
- Fresh berries, citrus slices, edible flowers, or a sprig of mint for garnish
Method
- Fill a large wine glass or tumbler with ice cubes.
- Pour in the rosé wine and elderflower liqueur.
- Top with sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
- Add your preferred garnish.
- Serve immediately.
Tips
- While you don’t need an expensive bottle, choose a rosé you enjoy drinking on its own. The wine’s flavour will still shine through in the spritzer.
- If you’re preparing this cocktail ahead of time, leave out the sparkling water until just before serving to preserve the fizz.
