Hamburgers and zucchini fries made in the air fryer

The air fryer takes the guesswork out of cooking and delivers a delicious meal that’s quick, convenient, and family-friendly.

The air fryer has completely transformed home cooking, allowing you to indulge in your favourite fried foods without the guilt. With just a swirl of hot air, it delivers that golden, crispy exterior we all crave, while keeping the inside deliciously tender and juicy – minus the excess oil, fat, and calories that come with traditional frying.

When it comes to homemade hamburgers, the air fryer guarantees a perfectly cooked patty every single time. It locks in those juices while giving you that irresistible charred finish, mimicking the flavour of a grill. And don’t even get us started on the air-fried zucchini fries! These are not your average fries – they’re a nutrient-packed, lower-carb alternative without the calorie overload. Recipe compliments of Instant Pot.

Ingredients

Burger patties:
500g lean mince
2 Eggs
1/3 Cup whole-wheat bread crumbs.
1 Green apple, grated (secret ingredient).
1 Handful fresh herbs, I used basil, finely chopped.
½ tsp of salt & pepper, each.
2 Garlic cloves, crushed.

Method

  1. Use a ½ cup measuring scoop to portion out your patties. Form them into patties, and place into your air-fryer for 10 minutes.
  2. Zucchini Fries: Simply slice your zucchinis (or baby marrows) into quarters lengthways, toss them with olive oil, salt & pepper (if you want to fancy these up you could add some grated parmesan). Place them into your air-fryer & cook for 12 minutes, or until golden.
