A fan-favourite villain will return to TV screens in August as Vusi Kunene reprises his role as Jack Mabaso in 'Generations: The Legacy'.

Back by popular demand, legendary actor Vusi Kunene will make a comeback on Generations: The Legacy to portray the iconic supervillain, Jack Mabaso.

The fan-favourite villain, known for his leather glove on his right hand, will reappear on screens from August 14. Kunene will return for the third time on the show, his last appearance being on May 12, 2021.

Speaking on Jack’s return, executive producer Mfundi Vundla said in a statement: “Vusi Kunene is one of the truly great actors! He will continue to heighten the standard of entertainment television in South Africa and beyond, reminding us of the iconic status of Generations.

Casting director Russel Savadier said Kunene’s re-entry into the show is expected to keep viewers glued to their seats.

“One of the great lingering questions on Generations: The Legacy is finally getting answered: ‘Is he dead or isn’t he?’ I’m as delighted as anyone that he is alive and well and returning in dramatic fashion on the show,” Savadier said.
