Today, we explore a unique and sophisticated concoction: the Tanqueray Almond Cocktail. This drink combines the botanical complexity of Tanqueray with the concentrated almond-oil notes of Disaronno Amaretto.
Ingredients
- 50ml Tanqueray Gin
- 10ml Disaronno Amaretto (although there are other fine almond liqueurs worth exploring)
- 20ml fresh lemon juice
- 10ml simple syrup
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- Ice
- Lemon twist or cherries (for garnish)
Method
- In a cocktail shaker, combine Tanqueray gin, amaretto, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and a dash of Angostura bitters. Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake the mixture vigorously for about 20 seconds.
- Discard the ice from your cocktail glass and strain the mixture into the chilled glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist and serve immediately.
