WATCH: Local up-and-coming rapper releases new single

The talented artist’s production has a wide range of diverse sounds and the genre of his is music is alternative hip-hop, rap and trap.

Up-and-coming Dawn Park rapper and producer Zac Nkosi (22) recently dropped a new single called Problem Kid.

Problem Kid is composed by Nkosi and self-produced by his 1212 Studios SA production company. It serves as a lead single for his debut album, High Anxiety, set to be released in 2022.

“I spent a vast amount of time questioning myself and allowed my anxiety to get the best of my actions. Ultimately, I chose to not allow it to guide decisions I make and be as free as I want to be.

“The song is for people with self-doubt, you should always believe in yourself no matter what,” he said.
The talented musician began his musical journey in Boksburg High School with a group called SHANDIS 88′. After a few years, he embarked on a solo career and started studying music production in college at the Boston Media House in Sandton.

Nkosi’s production has a wide range of diverse sounds and the genre of his is music is alternative hip-hop, rap and trap. The key influence in Zac’s music is his background, and the songs composed are based on his life experiences.

“I’ve always had an ear for music. I remember a time when I was eight years old and I use to take a kitchen whisk and perform in front of my mother. Now that I’m making my own music, it feels natural, like this was meant for me.”

Furthermore, he shared the stage with artists like Sjava, Maraza, Priddy Ugly, Shane Eagle, PatrickxxLee, Flvme and Sean Trimz.
