Get social … with Boksburg’s own Nic Rush

Over the course of the last 21 years, since his first gig in 1996 at the age of 16, Rush has proven himself to be one of South Africa’s finest rock guitarists in both his music and his public profile.

The first Saturday Social Club is just around the corner and kicks off on April 14 at Emperors Palace.

This brand new music series, scheduled throughout the year, includes Prime Circle, Dirty Moonshine and Six String Stories.

Also on the bill is Boksburg’s own Nic Rush, who is a resident of Ravenswood.

From 2003 to 2011 Rush was lead guitarist for Watershed, which earned him three gold and two platinum record awards after playing on every major festival stage in South Africa and undertaking numerous overseas tours.

From 2011 to 2013 Nic played guitar in Brent Harris and Thee Jam and in 2013 he was offered a position at The Barnyard Theatre Company as a musical director, lead guitarist and vocalist.

Nic will be launching his career as an original artist later this year.

The Saturday Social Club comprises a series of concerts in a beer hall environment at The Red Roman Shed and features food stalls, craft beer and the very best of South African rock music.
