COMPETITION: Are you Bobby van Jaarsveld’s biggest fan? (Watch videos)
If you would like to win a backstage VIP pass with Bobby van Jaarsveld, together with four tickets to his show in Sunward Park, then you should read this.
Bobby van Jaarsveld and Franja du Plessis will be performing at the Woord en Lewe Auditorium, on November 4.
The Advertiser, in conjunction with Armandi Events, is hosting a competition where one lucky reader will feel like a star on the night of the show.
If you are 18 years and above, live on the East Rand, and know the words to Bobby van Jaarsveld’s well-known song Spieëltjie off by heart, then this competition is right up your alley.
Here is what you should do:
Create a one-minute video of you singing your own creative version of Spieëltjie.
You are allowed to use instruments, background music or like they do on Pitch Perfect, sing it acapella.
There are three different ways to submit your entry:
1. Upload the video to YouTube and send the link to boksburgadvertiser@gmail.com;
2. Send the video as a file to the above mentioned email address; or
3. Drop off the video on a flash drive or CD/DVD at our offices, situated at 20 Sydney Road, Ravenswood, Boksburg.
With your entry, remember to include your name and surname, contact details, age and the area in which you live.
The competition is now open and the last day to send or drop off entries is October 13.
All videos will be uploaded with an article onto the Boksburg Advertiser website and readers will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite entry.

Fourteen voters stand the chance of winning double tickets to the show.
Instructions on how to vote will follow shortly after all entries have been received.
The winner of the best video, as well as the winners of the double tickets will be announced on the Advertiser website (www.boksburgadvertiser.co.za) at the end of October.
