Win tickets to the premiere of Sewentig x 7

Five Boksburg Advertiser readers stand the chance of winning VIP double tickets to the premiere of the Afrikaans film Sewentig x 7, at the Woord en Lewe church, in Sunward Park, on November 16, at 7pm.
Winners will appear on the red carpet, together with celebrities such as Pieter Koen, Jakkie Louw and Gerhard Steyn.
Tickets to the premiere are also available at R35 per person. Thirty percent of the profit made on the evening will go to the church.

Losing a child is a parent’s worst nightmare; even more so when you are the cause of it.
Sewentig x 7 (Seventy x 7 as referred to in Biblical terms of forgiveness) is the latest film by Incense Productions, producers of acclaimed films Hartsbegeertes, Forsaken, Rowwe Diamante, Reload and Suiderkruis.
The film centres on a young couple whose lives are irrevocably changed when they lose their only son after driving home from a party under the influence of alcohol.
The fatal accident has various repercussions as Rene (Angelique Gerber – 7de Laan, Boer Soek ’n Vrou, Villa Rosa) blames her husband, Pieter (Marcus Muller – Villa Rosa, Egoli), for the loss of their child.
What she doesn’t realise at the time is that a driver in a speeding car caused the accident and sped off while leaving them next to the road.
The story unfolds three years later in a new town where Rene has fled to after her divorce.
As a teacher she forms a caring bond with two of her young students.
One of the students befriends a loner, Derrick (Gerhard Steyn – Forsaken), living on the outskirts of town.
The young boy is reaching out to Derrick, who becomes a father figure in his life.
When Rene meets Derrick, the attraction is instant when she recognises the caring relationship between him and the young boy (Justin).
The father and son bond they have reminds Rene of what her life would have been like had her son survived.
Since Rene has a strong connection with the young Justin, she is slowly pulled into a friendship with Derrick.
She soon realises that he is also running from his past.
This is a story of forgiveness and the realisation that forgiveness is a choice.
