Dark Places

Thriller

Starring: Nicholas Hoult, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christina Hendricks and Tye Sheridan.

Set in a farming town in Kansas, this dramatic thriller follows Libby Day, the only surviving witness of a horrific massacre that took the lives of her mother and sisters. Believing the slaughter to be the work of a satanic cult, Libby testifies in court against her own brother. Twenty-five years after the murder, she remains haunted by the gruesome violence of her past when she meets a group of amateur investigators who call themselves ‘The Kill Club’. Looking to satisfy their morbid curiosity, the group begins their own inquiry about the case, believing Libby’s brother is innocent. In order to help them, Libby must unearth painful memories of the event and learn that her past may not be what it seems.

Hero is a remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 film of the same name, which starred Jackie Shroff. When two worlds collide, a boy and a girl find themselves stuck in a whirlpool of such intense love that they would do anything, go to any extent and face all odds for the one they love. Radha is the 21-year-old daughter of the formidable chief of police. Sooraj on the other hand, has been raised by the unforgiving streets of Mumbai. Hero is the story of love, under conflict but will their love prevail?

 

The Transporter Refueled

In France’s criminal underworld, Frank Martin is known as The Transporter — the best driver and mercenary money can buy. Frank will deliver anything for a price. He lives by three rules: no names, no questions and no renegotiations — that is until he meets the mysterious Anna, the lethal leader of a group of deadly assailants. Anna wants to take down a ruthless group of Russian human traffickers and knows Frank is the best man for the job. To get him on board, she kidnaps his father and holds him for ransom. Now, Frank and his father find themselves forced to team up with Anna.

A single mother sends her two young children for a week-long visit with their grandparents at their secluded farm in Pennsylvania, but things take a terrifying turn when the children discover their grandparents are part of something troubling. Things begin to go very wrong and the chances of them returning home slip further away with each passing day.

Starring: Regina Hall, Michael Pena, Chevy Chase, Leslie Mann, Ed Helms and Christina Applegate.

This sequel to the Chevy Chase-starring, 80’s cult favourite comedy series of films is set today, in 2015, as Rusty Griswold is all grown-up with a family of his own. Following in his father Clark’s footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, Rusty surprises his wife Debbie and their two sons James and Kevin, with a cross-country trip to Wally World. However, just like in the original movie the vacation turns out to be anything but ordinary as anything that can go hilariously wrong does so.
