Fans can look forward to a spectacular outdoor concert under the stars, featuring all of his best hits on Saturday, September 19. The 90 minute concert kicks off at 7pm.
“In true McKnight style, the concert will be a laid back and captivating showcase of all of his favourite songs, with the starlit sky as the backdrop,” said Matthew Cook, the entertainment and events manager at Carnival City.
McKnight, brought to South Africa by Marmalade Productions, needs little introduction, having released 15 albums to date, many of which went two and three times platinum.
He has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and boasts a massive fan base in South Africa.
During his career, McKnight has worked with Quincy Jones, Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey, P Diddy, Christina Aguilera, Rascal Flatts, Nelly, Vanessa Williams, Willie Nelson and Kenny G.
Along with 16 Grammy nominations, he has been the recipient of American Music Awards (AMA), Soul Train Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, and was Billboard Songwriter of The Year.
McKnight will be releasing his soulful 16th album Better later this year. He is not only getting better with age, but also with life, love and music – a journey echoed in the sounds and lyrics of his most heart-felt album to date.
