Watch a local artist perform on Musiek Roulette tonight

An Atlasville resident will be singing on Afrikaans music game show Musiek Roulette, on SABC 2, tonight (August 7), at 8pm.

HunTer is a full time singer and songwriter who was invited as one of the guest artists to perform on this television programme for the first time.

Other artists who will also make their appearance on tonight’s episode of Musiek Roulette are Bianca le Grange and Manie Jackson.

HunTer has been living in Atlasville for the past 12 years, where she has also operated her own recording studio since November, last year.

Her music career started at the young age of 13, when she entered a karaoke competition and walked away as the overall winner.

“My mother asked me whether I’d want to become a singer one day, to which I answered ‘yes’,” said HunTer.

“She didn’t think much of it, as any young girl wants to become a singer or actor at some stage.”

HunTer proved herself and today she has four albums to her name.

She is currently recording her fifth CD, which is a country album.

HunTer comes from a family with a musical background.

“My mom’s side of the family is very musical; my one aunt can play basically any instrument,” she said.

“My dad’s two cousins are musical, too.”

According to HunTer, her music doesn’t fall into a specific genre; she therefore calls her style ”adult contemporary”.

Tune in on SABC 2 tonight, and support one of our locals on national television.

This will be her third time performing on a television reality show.
