Plan a ‘pawsitively purrfect’ visit to the Wodac Pet Expo

Join in the fun and festivities and make new furry, feathered and slippery friends at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from July 17 to 19.

If you are a committed pet enthusiast, or simply want to explore the possibility of owning a pet, this is the place to be.

Meet the breeds among dogs, cats, horses, birds, aquatic creatures, reptiles, rodents and more, and learn about the rewards of responsible pet ownership.

The expo offers hundreds of exhibits as well as shows and competitions to entertain the whole family.

Two arenas will host dog competitions and demonstrations of agility, dancing with dogs and obedience and more.

Then there is the Wodac National Cat Show; as well as equine breed parades, and koi fish displays.

There is also the opportunity to experience the magic of animals as you explore the Hall of Dogs, Hall of Cats, Equine Area, Hall of Snakes and Reptiles, and other exhibits.

This year, the “Pupparazzi” and adoring fans and visitors will see their favourite South African celebrities literally jump through hoops with champion agility dogs. And it’s all for a good cause.

The proceeds of this event will be presented to selected animal welfare groups represented at the expo. The challenge will take place on Sunday, July 19.

The expo also places focus on pet ownership, therefore lectures and workshops on topics of interest and value to pet parents will be held.
